Winemaking techniques: Temperature controlled maceration on skins with ageing a long period in 50hl oak barrels, 2.5hl oak barriques and in-bottle refining for at least 6 months.
Gastronomy: The prime quality and structure of this wine demand excellent first courses and risottos with sauces made from game, red meat, and mature spicy cheeses.
Serving suggestions: Serve at a temperature of 18° - 20°C, allowing the wine to breathe before pouring into large, Special Reserve red wine glasses with a wide base and tall stem.
This vintage is considered one of Italy's best! both the 1996 and the 1997 Library wines are drinking wonderfully.
