Helicopter Wine Tour

TOUR DESCRIPTION:

• 09:15 am - Customers will be picked up directly to their Hotel with our Helicopter or with a mini van.

• 10:00 am - The captain will welcome the customer on board of our helicopter and he will explain all the necessary procedures for the tour.

• A panoramic tour will take place over the city of Florence flying above the Arno river to allow customers to take wondeful pictures above the most important monuments of the city. We will head then over the beautiful Chianti Classico hills where you can admire the old castles and vineyard.

• The flight will highlight one of the most interesting city of the area, San Gimignano, a medieval venue which has the most amazing towers of Tuscany. You’ll clearly see Piazza del Duomo and the magnificent Chigi Tower owened by Giachi family.

• Leaving San Gimignano we will land directly in Tenuta Torciano Winery. Finally, customers will enjoy a delicious lunch in the vineyard, or in a private room, where the owner will personally follow the experience

• 11:00 am - Pierluigi Giachi, the owner of Tenuta Torciano will welcome you in the winery with a glass of champaign and then he will take you to have a tour of the cellars and the vineyards, explaining the story of the Family, that produces wine since 1720.

• 11:45 am - You are going to have a wonderful lunch under the gazebo located in the middle of the Spiral Vineyard, named this way by Pierluigi Giachi due to its unique peculiarity: it is the only one in the world to have this shape.

• The experience in Tenuta Torciano will last about 3 hours. Once the experience is finished, the helicopter will bring you back to Florence. there, your driver will take you back to your hotel. Approximate time of arrival 4.30 pm..

Lunch consists of four courses, each of those truffle based. Truffle comes from our truffle wood which, thanks to the close Elsa river, mantains its humidity and the soil is perfectly able to produce truffle for nine months per year. Our chef will surprise you with a first quality match between wines and courses.

During the wine tasting you will be followed by our Sommelier, who will explain the secret of the art of tasting wine with different kind of food. it will be a real lesson that will allow you to live with ease all the moments you will be in a restaurant and you will have to choose the right wine.

The winery experience consists of a vertical Wine Tasting of 13 Tuscan wines and gourmet products including personal reserves with vintage 1995, 1996-1997 and limited editions. Those has been the best seasons ever of winemaking.
