Origins and Production Process:
Amarone originates in the Valpolicella region, in the province of Verona, a hilly area in north-eastern Italy with ideal climatic conditions for viticulture. The DOCG Amarone della Valpolicella designation ensures the quality and authenticity of this exceptional wine. This distinguished red wine is crafted from a meticulous selection of 65% Corvina and Corvinone, and 35% Rondinella grapes, all hand-harvested. Following a traditional appassimento process lasting 100 days, the wine achieves its characteristic depth and complexity. Amarone is then aged in wooden barrels for 24 months, followed by an additional 6 months of bottle aging before being released.
