Purchased in 2021 by Pierluigi, the Torciano Bolgheri estate overlooks the famous Bolgherese road, which connects the village of Bolgheri to the main town Castagneto Carducci, and where vineyards are dedicated to new specialized plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and other experimental varieties.
The winemaking cellar, designed by architect Spartaco Mori, follows the forms of ancient Etruscan constructions with stones, rounded lines and crystal enrichments, to emphasize the strong historical connection with the territory of origin.
One of the factors of the high quality of wines produced in Bolgheri is certainly the perfect marriage between climate and soil. The microclimate is favored by the proximity of the sea which, with its breezes, mitigates summer heat and winter cold; the soils are instead alluvial deposits with various types of subsoil: ranging from clays rich in skeleton to deep sandy layers.
This diversity allows in this area of northern Maremma the cultivation of complex and diverse grape varieties. The estate owned by the Giachi family is located on the Bolgherese road, at the center of the territory dedicated to DOC production. It is a company under renovation dedicated to wine tourism hospitality for visits and guided tours with tastings of wines and oil from the territory with lunches for relaxing moments to remember.
