Prepare the Chocolate Base
Break 200 g of chocolate and melt it in a double boiler.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
Prepare the Batter
In a bowl, soften 200 g of butter using an electric mixer.
Add the brown sugar and eggs, mixing until smooth.
Stir in the yogurt and rum aroma.
Combine Ingredients
Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder.
Add to the mixture and stir until well combined.
Finally, add the melted chocolate and mix gently.
Bake
Pour the batter into a greased cake mold.
Bake for about 45 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
Let the cake cool completely before removing from the mold.
Prepare the Frosting
Melt the remaining butter and chocolate in a double boiler.
Add the icing sugar and mascarpone, mixing until smooth and creamy.
Let the frosting cool slightly until it thickens.
Assemble the Cake
Place the cake on a serving plate or rack.
Spread the frosting evenly over the top and sides.
Serve
Let the frosting set slightly before serving.
