Ingredients
- 500 ml fresh cream
- 150 g sugar
- 250 ml milk
- 1 vanilla pod
- Balsamic vinegar (optional, for serving)
Instructions
Prepare the Base
In a saucepan, combine the cream, milk, sugar, and the vanilla pod.
Heat gently and bring close to a boil, stirring constantly with a whisk.
Remove from the heat, take out the vanilla pod, and allow the mixture to cool.
Chill the Mixture
Transfer the mixture to a container with a lid and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
Churn the Ice Cream
Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
If you don’t have an ice cream maker, place the mixture in the freezer and stir every 15 minutes with a wooden spoon until it reaches a smooth and creamy consistency.
Serve
Serve the vanilla ice cream on its own or with fresh fruit.
For a gourmet twist, add a few drops of balsamic vinegar.
A simple yet elegant dessert—classic vanilla elevated with a surprising balsamic touch.
