Ingredients
- 3 cups (600 g) chicken breast
- Flour 00, as needed
- ¼ cup (50 ml) extra virgin olive oil
- 1 lemon (juice and zest)
- ½ glass white wine
- 1 cup (200 ml) water
- 5 teaspoons (20 g) cornstarch
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into strips.
Lightly coat them in flour and shake off any excess.
Cook the Chicken
Heat the olive oil in a pan.
Add the chicken strips and cook over medium heat, turning occasionally, until golden brown.
Remove from the pan and set aside.
Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in a little water taken from the total amount.
In a saucepan, combine the white wine, remaining water, lemon juice, and grated lemon zest.
Heat over low heat while stirring, then add the dissolved cornstarch.
Finish and Serve
Add the chicken back into the sauce and season with salt.
Cook for a couple of minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
