Ingredients
- 2 slices of beef (or chicken / pork)
- 1 cup (200 g) tomato pulp
- 2 tbsp capers
- 1 mozzarella
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oregano
- Fresh basil
- Flour (for dredging)
Instructions
Prepare the Meat
Lightly flour the beef slices.
Heat extra virgin olive oil in a pan over medium heat and cook the meat until golden on both sides.
Add the Sauce
Add the tomato pulp, capers and oregano.
Season with salt and pepper, then spoon the sauce over the meat.
Cook
Cover with a lid and cook for 3–4 minutes, turning the slices halfway through.
Finish
Remove from heat and add slices of mozzarella on top.
Cover briefly to allow the cheese to melt.
Serve
Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.
