Ingredients
- 4 cups (2 liters) water
- 1 celery stalk
- 1 carrot
- 1 onion
- 1 tomato
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
(You can add other seasonal vegetables as desired)
Instructions
Prepare the Vegetables
Peel and wash all the vegetables.
Cut the carrot into large pieces, divide the celery into sections, halve the tomato, and cut the onion in half.
Start the Base
Lightly sear the onion halves in a pan over high heat for 4–5 minutes to enhance the flavor.
Cook the Broth
Transfer all the vegetables to a large pot, add pepper, and cover with cold water.
Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer gently for about 1 hour.
Finish
Season with salt, then strain the broth to remove the vegetables.
Use immediately or store for later use.
