Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups (500 g) instant corn flour
- 4 cups (2 liters) water
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Cook the Polenta
Place a thick-bottomed pot on the heat and pour in the water. When it begins to boil, add salt.
Gradually pour in the corn flour while stirring continuously with a wooden spoon to avoid lumps.
Add the olive oil and continue stirring over medium-high heat until it starts to thicken.
Finish Cooking
Lower the heat and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent sticking.
Once thick and smooth, the polenta is ready to serve.
Optional Tip
For extra flavor, let the polenta cool, slice it, and grill or fry until golden and crispy.
