Ingredients
- 450 g pasta
- 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 8 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 800 g canned diced tomatoes (unsalted)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 225 g fresh mozzarella, diced
- A handful of fresh basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon chili-infused extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
Prepare the Sauce
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add black pepper, sliced garlic, and sugar, and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add Tomatoes
Stir in the diced tomatoes and salt.
Cook for about 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to slightly thicken.
Combine and Finish
Remove the skillet from heat.
Add the cooked pasta, fresh basil, diced mozzarella, and chili-infused olive oil.
Toss gently until everything is well combined and the cheese begins to soften.
Serve
Serve immediately while warm.
