Ingredients
Caprese Bruschetta
- 4 slices rustic wheat bread
- 1 clove garlic
- 8 fresh basil leaves
- 250 g mozzarella, diced
- 10 cherry tomatoes, chopped
- 12 black olives, sliced
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Oregano
- Salt, to taste
Sausage Bruschetta
- 2 slices rustic bread
- 2 sausages
Tomato & Basil Bruschetta
- 2 slices rustic bread
- 2 ripe tomatoes, diced
- 2 basil leaves
- Garlic (optional)
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Bread
Slice the bread and toast it on a grill or in the oven until hot and crispy.
Rub each slice lightly with a garlic clove if desired.
Caprese Bruschetta
In a bowl, combine diced mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, olives, basil, oregano and a drizzle of olive oil.
Season with salt and mix well.
Top the toasted bread with the mixture and finish with a drizzle of olive oil.
Sausage Bruschetta
Remove the casing from the sausages and spread the meat onto the bread slices.
Place under a hot grill and cook until the sausage is browned and cooked through.
Tomato & Basil Bruschetta
Mix diced tomatoes with olive oil, salt and chopped basil.
Let the mixture rest briefly to develop flavor.
Spoon over the toasted bread and serve immediately.
Serve
Arrange all variations on a platter and serve warm as an appetizer or light meal.
