A red Tuscan wine made from pure Merlot. Its name is derived from “Cardinal Chigi”, a noble Sienese family, who owned Torre in Chigi and Palazzo Chigi in San Gimignano until 1950. Fabio Chigi, became Pope with the name Alessandro VII

The Toscana Rosso Il Borro of the homonymous estate is born in vineyards located on the hills of the Valdarno area, in Tuscany, at the foot of the Pratomagno. It is produced with 50% Merlot grapes, 35% with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, 10% with Syrah and 5% with Petit Verdot, harvested and sorted manually, then crushed, destemmed and vinified separately.
