Red Wine Chocolate Cake

What's better than chocolate paired with wine? This Red Wine Chocolate cake has an intense aroma and unique flavor. Simple to prepare but very impressive.

Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour 1½ cups
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder: ¾ cup
  • Baking soda: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: ½ teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon: ½ teaspoon
  • Butter softened: 1 cup
  • Granulated sugar: 1¼ cups
  • Brown sugar: ½ cup
  • Eggs: 2
  • Vanilla extract: 2 teaspoons
  • Red wine: 1¼ cups
  • Difficulty: medium
     
  • Preparation: 1h

 

Procedure:

In a medium bowl, sift flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. In a mixer bowl, beat together butter and sugar for 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy. Add the 2 eggs and vanilla extract.

On low speed, add the flour and the wine. Preheat oven and grease a pan with butter.

Bake for 45 minutes. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes on a wire rack, then turn it out and let it cool completely.

Dust the cake with powdered sugar.
