ADDITIONAL DETAILS DETTAGLI AGGIUNTIVI

Area of Production:

The DOC Veneto is reserved for white, red and rosé wines. The grape production area for obtaining musts and wines includes the entire administrative territory of the provinces of Belluno, Padua, Rovigo, Treviso, Venice, Verona, Vicenza.

The history of wine in Veneto begins long before the times of the Greeks, who are generally recognized as introducing the vine to Italy. It is believed, however, that the vine was present in the wild in Veneto already many centuries before Christ.

Grapes:

Pinot Grigio is the Italian name for Pinot Gris, a white mutation of the Pinot family. It shares its genetic fingerprint with Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc and several other varieties. The wines are most commonly described as dry white wines with relatively high acidity. These characteristics are complemented by aromas of lemon, lime, green apple and blossoms.

Early harvests can also have a clear impact on color. As Pinot Gris/Grigio ripens it can take on a pinkish color. Wines made from riper grapes can be much more golden.
