2021 Tenuta Torciano CHIANTI CLASSICO 'Doge' Tuscany: The legendary Chianti Classico designation, signified by the famous Gallo Nero (Black Rooster) logo, is reserved for wines produced in the most ancient region of Chianti. Made from select vineyards, it is produced with Sangiovese grapes, which are harvested by hand; then Chianti Classico must be aged for 12 months. Doge is characterized by an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with elegant hints of violet, then enriched with nuances of ripe red fruit, licorice and vanilla. On the palate, it is full and harmonious, with soft and velvety tannins. Whether tasted immediately or after 5 years, this wine perfectly accompanies cheeses, pastas with traditional sauces, and grilled meats.
