Selected grapes of Prugnolo (Sangiovese). This vintage offered both. The bouquet opens to wild fruit aromas with distinct mineral tones that define and delineate the aromatic offering. The mouthfeel reveals good complexity and lots of bright freshness. His color is a strong ruby, brilliant colour tending to garnet with age. Its boquet is strong with light-violet fragrance, elegant with Sapid, mellow and soft-velvet flavour.
Ideal companion for noble poultry, game and mature cheeses. Excellent with pasta served with tasty meat sauce, roast meat, finely sliced raw meat and pecorino cheese.

Montepulciano is a picturesque hill town 25 miles (40km) southeast of Siena, southeastern Tuscany. Viticulture here dates back many centuries to Etruscan times. According to DOCG rules, to be labeled as Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, a wine must come from vineyards on the hills which surround the village of Montepulciano. This area is made up of slopes reaching 820–1968ft (250–600m) in altitude, located between two rivers.
The grape variety is Sangiovese (known locally as Prugnolo Gentile), the same variety used to make another of Tuscany's great red wines, such as Brunello di Montalcino. Sangiovese grapes must make up at least 60–80% of the final wine, and may be complemented by Canaiolo (10–20%) and other local varieties cultivated in the province of Siena. The aging period for Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a minimum of 24 months (36 months for the riserva wines), of which at least 12 months must be spent in oak barrels. The barrels have a lower surface area relative to the volume of wine they contain, that means less oak flavor in the wine. Oak barrels are used not only for their flavor, but for the controlled maturation they provide.
