Wine Description:

Named after the world-renowned region of Tuscany, this popular Chianti consists of Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes, grown on hills that date back to the Pliocene era.
Ruby red in color with violet hues, it has an aromatic profile of medium intensity, with notes of violet and cherry. Flavor is austere, full-bodied and slightly tannic.

Vivacious persistence and pleasant spicy taste in the mouth. This everyday wine is exceptionally fresh, so pairs perfectly with appetizers, perfect with red meats, with first courses based on meat sauce and savory appetizers based on aged cheeses and fresh cold cuts.

Wine Cellar:

In the heart of Tuscany, in San Gimignano—the medieval city of a hundred towers—stands Cantina Altezza.

Perched on a hill that seems to touch the sky, it embodies the very essence of its name: a privileged vantage point from which the gaze drifts across the majestic towers of the city.

Here, where the beauty of nature intertwines with tradition, wine is not just a product but a story of family, passion, and terroir.

Every bottle of wine holds the promise of preserving the values that the grandparents cherished, working the land with passion and respecting nature’s rhythm.

Area of Production:

Located in central Italy along the Tyrrhenian coast, Tuscany is home to some of the world's most notable wine regions. Toscana IGT is the most famous – and the most commonly used – of Italy's Indicazione Geografica Tipica (IGT) titles. The geographical region it indicates is, in short, Tuscany.

Toscana IGT wines can be made in any village in any of Tuscany's 10 provinces.

Grapes:

The Chianti blend is a classic, long-established blend of wine grapes used in the wines of Tuscany, most obviously those from Chianti. The blend’s primary constituent is Tuscany’s favorite grape variety, Sangiovese. This is accompanied by small quantities of lesser-known Tuscan grape varieties Canaiolo, Colorino, Ciliegiolo
and Mammolo.
