Type-wise the Morellino di Scansano DOCG varies from the elegant to the powerful and a bit heavy, but in contrast to the other Sangiovese wines from Tuscany, it's ready to drink within a very short timeframe. Morellino di Scansano DOCG is to begin with ruby red with a tendency towards garnet with aging. It has a large bouquet and a warm, slightly tight and lightly robust taste. The aroma is vinous, and with age becomes more ethereal, intense and fine. After about 5 years, it develops a long finish, with a light, pleasant acidity.

Named after the world-renowned region of Tuscany, this popular Chianti consists of Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes, grown on hills that date back to the Pliocene era. Ruby red in color with violet hues, it has an aromatic profile of medium intensity, with notes of violet and cherry. Flavor is austere, full-bodied and slightly tannic. Vivacious persistence and pleasant spicy taste in the mouth. This everyday wine is exceptionally fresh, so pairs perfectly with appetizers, perfect with red meats, with first courses based on meat sauce and savory appetizers based on aged cheeses and fresh cold cuts.

Part of our signature "Monogram" collection, this intense ruby red colored wine is made from select Petit Verdot grapes. It has a spicy, full, dry, tannic flavor.
