The vintage 2016 was a regular season, with a slightly maturation and a season finale with some rain. So, the result is a more elegant Sangiovese than ever, which enhances its earthy and spicy tones. The bouquet opens to wild fruit aromas with distinct mineral tones, that define and delineate the aromatic offering. The mouthfeel reveals good complexity, his color is a strong ruby, brilliant color tending to garnet with age.

Montepulciano is a picturesque hill town 25 miles (40km) southeast of Siena, southeastern Tuscany. Viticulture here dates back many centuries to Etruscan times. According to DOCG rules, to be labeled as Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, a wine must come from vineyards on the hills which surround the village of Montepulciano. This area is made up of slopes reaching 820–1968ft (250–600m) in altitude, located between two rivers.
The grape variety is Sangiovese (known locally as Prugnolo Gentile), the same variety used to make another of Tuscany's great red wines, such as Brunello di Montalcino. Sangiovese grapes must make up at least 60–80% of the final wine, and may be complemented by Canaiolo (10–20%) and other local varieties cultivated in the province of Siena. The aging period for Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a minimum of 24 months (36 months for the riserva wines), of which at least 12 months must be spent in oak barrels. The barrels have a lower surface area relative to the volume of wine they contain, that means less oak flavor in the wine. Oak barrels are used not only for their flavor, but for the controlled maturation they provide.
"GOLDVINE" of Tenuta Torciano is an elegant wine with intense aromas of wild flowers of unquestionably lovable character. A full-bodied but fresh wine, which recalls classic luxury flavors reinterpreted in the contemporary era. Essences of red fruits, cherries, a pinch of licorice, herbs and blueberries make up a strictly personal symphony of aromas. The intriguing sweet spices give a well-defined taste, round and elegant with silky tannins and a long finish on the palate. Enclosed in a jewel-bottle, with a silvery silhouette that recalls the typical Florentine architecture of the silver altar of the Baptistery of the Duomo of Florence.
