The Templars are the link between the Giachi family, owners of the Tenuta Torciano winery, and the land of Bolgheri. The history of the Tenuta Torciano winery is intertwined with that of the Templars and the Bolgheri "Luciana" collection comes to life with the wines grown in the vineyards along the Bolgheri road.

2020 “Luciana” Bolgheri white

A fantastic white wine that comes from a blend of 70% Vermentino and 30% Viogner.

Product obtained from the pressing of the grapes, it is refrigerated to carry out a natural decantation of the must with subsequent racking and alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature.

Aging for 4 months in steel and three months in the bottle It is a white wine with a straw yellow color with greenish reflections, an intense and complex aroma of fresh white pulp fruits such as banana pear, on the finish there are notes of clumps and yellow fruit, important fresh floral hints such as white thorn and mulberry.

The taste is harmonious, fresh and savory with a hint of mineral and a good persistence.

Torciano, takes the field at the very beginning of the pandemic to tell the wonderful world that exists behind the art of wine, despite the difficult moment we have and are going through, a tribute to the Knights Templar, to remember this year 2020 as a great moment for rebirth and hope for a better world for all. Bolgheri is the golden coast of the Maremma, as regards the production of wine where the Sassicaia wine.

2019 "Gioiello Bolgheri" wine

A red wine that comes from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. The scent is reminiscent of sweet dark cherries and black currants, with a slight herbaceous note probably of Cabernet Franc.

On the palate it is dense, with sweet dark fruit, a hint of dill and adherent tannins on the finish.

The Bolgheri Gioiello is characterized by an intense ruby red color, enriched by violet reflections. In the mouth is a wine of great structure, with tannins present but soft and velvety and excellent persistence.

I recommend decanting it for a few minutes if drunk immediately or I would hide it for five to ten years.

As in a fairy tale, the artistic director, Luciana Cilemmi, has chosen an important wine that binds it to the new BOLGHERI “Luciana” collection as a symbol of hope and tenacity like the Templars were during the wars of the Crusades in the Holy Land. This military-monastic body, born during the Crusades, settled throughout the Italian peninsula but in particular they settled in Tuscany in the most important cities of the Via Francigena, the famous road from Rome to Paris.
