Overview

Leave Florence behind and head into the Chianti countryside on a scenic minivan tour designed for wine enthusiasts, foodies and travel lovers. Two authentic wineries, up to 8 wines paired with local food and a genuine medieval village in the Tuscan hills, all in one day.

You will travel through the vineyards of the Chianti wine region and reach Tenuta Torciano, where our staff welcomes you for a guided walk among the vines, the barrel aging cellar and the fermentation cellar. You will discover how wood shapes the character of a wine, then sit down to a tasting of wines, olive oils and balsamic vinegar accompanied by Tuscan appetizers – cheeses, salumi, bruschette and traditional bread.

The tour continues to Altezza Winery, a short drive away, with its historic underground cellars and barrel rooms. Here a second tasting unfolds in front of a panorama that takes in the towers of San Gimignano and the hills of olive groves and vineyards around them.

The day ends with free time in San Gimignano, the UNESCO village known as the medieval Manhattan, before the return transfer to Florence.

• Parking at the meeting point is free all day.
• Meeting point: Florence, Via Curtatone 1/3 parking American Embassy, by the Garibaldi statue. Please arrive 10 minutes before departure.
• The activity is wheelchair accessible.
• Comfortable shoes are recommended: the visit includes walking in the vineyards and in the historic cellars.
