With its picturesque villages, rolling hillsides and unforgettable red wines, this tour is designed for the wine lover, foodie, and travel enthusiast at heart! You will visit two of the best wineries in San Gimignano area and Chianti Valley in one day. The tour begins with a visit to Villagiachi Winery, where you will be welcomed by our wine expert.

After listening to a brief introduction about the winery’s history and the types of wine made there, join a guided tour of the cellars, learn all about the winemaking process, the fermentation phase, and the bottling. Here you can taste some local Tuscan wines, such as Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Super Tuscan and many more.

Board the car and continue to Tenuta Torciano Winery. Here, you will learn about the aging process of wine inside the barrels and how this can affect the characteristics of wine. Explore the facilities during a short-guided tour, and walk through the vineyards. You will take part in the tasting session of many different Tuscan wines and oils. You will hear an explanation of each of the wines that you sample, as well as some tips on how to savor the wine and understand its qualities. The wines will be accompanied by local snacks produced in the region, such as cheese, bread, olive oil, and salumi.

Program

10:00am (or 3:00pm) - Visit to historic Villagiachi cellars in San Gimignano with a view of the San Gimignano Towers.

Tasting of 5 Tuscan wines accompanied by snacks:

  • Chardonnay
  • Vernaccia
  • Rosso di San Gimignano
  • Sangiovese
  • Super Tuscan

 

12:00am (or 5:00pm) - Visit to Tenuta Torciano cellars.

Tasting of Tuscan wines, oils and balsamic vinegar accompanied by Tuscan appetizers as cold cuts, cheeses and bruschetta and as dessert cantuccini biscuits with dessert wine. The tasting includes:

  • Brunello di Montalcino DOCG
  • Chianti DOCG
  • Chianti Classico DOCG
  • Morellino di Scansano DOCG
  • Super Tuscan “Baldassarre” cabernet, merlot, sangiovese
  • Super Tuscan “Cavaliere” sangiovese & merlot
  • Super Tuscan “Bartolomeo” sangiovese & cabernet
  • Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG
  • Bolgheri DOC
  • Rosè
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Truffle olive oil
