Selected Sangiovese Grosso grapes come from vineyards planted over 15 years ago cultivated on hilly ground in polychrome schist soils at an altitude of 500m a.s.l. The colour is deep, clear ruby red tending to garnet with age. Has an intense bouquet with a slight aroma of violet.
His harmonious, dry, tasty and slightly tannic flavour has refined to smooth and velvety with time. It's excellent with all courses of a meal and exceptional with mushroom risotto, roast meat, cannelloni, stewed meat and chestnuts.
The better wine is the older one. The best water, the newer one.
